The current Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of elves stands at 1,762, a feat achieved on November 25, 2014, in Bangkok, Thailand. While organizers of the Weymouth gathering are still meticulously counting the final number of pointy-hatted, green-clad participants, they reported being “inundated with elves.”
The overwhelming turnout has clearly demonstrated the community’s enthusiasm, prompting the organizers to announce plans for an official record attempt with Guinness World Records next year.
