Trailblazing Journey: First Cross-Country Scooter Ride by Specially Abled Riders

In a remarkable display of courage and determination, the All India Scooty Riders organized a unique cross-country world record event to motivate specially-abled riders and commemorate the 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav 2023. Six differently-abled riders, equipped with retrofitted vehicles tailored for their needs, embarked on a challenging 10-day journey covering a total distance of 2,609 kilometers.

The journey commenced at India Gate, New Delhi, on November 22, 2022. The riders traveled through key locations including Bareilly, Shravasti, Lumbini, Kapilvastu, and Bardha Ghati before reaching Kathmandu, Nepal. The return route took them via Pashupatinath, Pokhra, Pharenda, Krishnanagar, Lucknow, Agra, culminating back at New Delhi on December 1, 2022.

This extraordinary expedition set a new group world record, inspiring specially-abled individuals nationwide and highlighting the spirit of resilience and unity in celebration of India’s 75 years of independence.
