In an inspiring feat of determination and strength, Prakash Kharvi, a specially-abled sportsman from Udupi, Karnataka, swam 13 kilometers in the Arabian Sea with both hands tied behind his back — despite being affected by polio in his right leg.
Prakash began his extraordinary swim from St. Mary’s Island at 7:00 am and reached Malpe Beach at 2:00 pm, completing the longest swimming journey in the sea by a person with a disability. His achievement stands as a testament to human resilience, pushing the boundaries of possibility and inspiring millions across India.
