In a stunning showcase of lyrical memory and musical passion, Bilal Ilyas Jhandir, a 20-year-old Taylor Swift superfan from Pakistan, has set a new Guinness World Record for the most Taylor Swift songs identified from lyrics in one minute.
Jhandir correctly named 34 Taylor Swift songs after hearing just a snippet of their lyrics, smashing the previous record of 27 songs, which was held by British radio host Dan Simpson since 2019.
The record-breaking moment took place in Dubai, where fans and adjudicators witnessed the feat. Swift’s iconic lyrics from albums spanning her entire career were featured in the challenge, with Jhandir demonstrating lightning-fast recall and deep knowledge of her discography.
“It’s a dream come true. I’ve been listening to Taylor since I was a kid. This record is for every Swiftie out there,” said a thrilled Jhandir after his victory.
His achievement has since gone viral among Swift’s fanbase, earning him the title of “world’s greatest Swiftie” and recognition from music lovers around the globe.
