Longest Day-Night Cricket Tournament in the World Held in Kutch, Gujarat

Bhuj, Gujarat | June 25, 2025 — In a remarkable initiative aimed at promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, and unity among youth, KUTCH LOKSABHA, in association with Samaj Nav Nirman Trust, Bhuj, organized the NAMO CUP – SANSAD CRICKET TOURNAMENT – SEASON 3, setting a New World Record with World Records India for the largest day-night cricket tournament of its kind.

Held under the visionary leadership of Shri Vinod Chavda, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) for Kachchh and General Secretary of BJP Gujarat, the tournament drew an unprecedented participation of 581 teams and 7500+ players from across the region. Spanning an energetic 97 days, the mega 10-over day and night cricket tournament saw over 550 matches played, beginning on 6th March 2025 and concluding in grand style on 22nd June 2025.

The event culminated at Jubilee Ground, Bhuj, and was officially recognized by World Records India on 25th June 2025 for its record-breaking scale and community impact.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Shri Vinod Chavda expressed gratitude to all the participating teams, volunteers, and supporting organizations, emphasizing the tournament’s role in channeling youth energy toward sports and positive social development.

This iconic sporting event has not only elevated the status of cricket in Kutch but also stands as a proud symbol of youth empowerment, unity, and dedication.
