Gujarat Sets World Record with 2121 People Holding Cobra Pose Simultaneously

Ahmedabad, June 21, 2025 — In a historic display of unity, discipline, and wellness, Gujarat etched its name into the record books as 2,121 people performed the Yoga ‘Bhujangasana’ (Cobra Pose) simultaneously for 2 minutes and 9 seconds, creating a new Guinness World Record.

The mega event was organized on the occasion of International Yoga Day and took place at a sprawling venue in Ahmedabad, drawing yoga practitioners, students, fitness enthusiasts, and professionals from across the state. The participants, ranging in age and background, flawlessly executed the cobra pose in perfect unison, embodying the spirit of collective health and mindfulness.

Guinness World Records officials were present at the site to validate and certify the achievement, marking it as a proud moment not only for Gujarat but for the entire nation.
