French bakers have once again proven their prowess by baking the world’s longest baguette, measuring an astonishing 140.5 metres (461 feet), setting a new Guinness World Record on Sunday in Suresnes, just outside Paris.
The colossal creation surpassed the previous record of 132.62 metres, held by bakers in Como, Italy, since 2019.
Crafted by a team of expert bakers in a feat of culinary coordination, the mega baguette not only celebrated French baking tradition but also served a meaningful purpose. A portion of the baguette was shared with the public, while the rest was donated to homeless communities, turning the record-breaking attempt into a gesture of goodwill.
The event drew enthusiastic crowds, with onlookers witnessing the intricate process of baking, transporting, and measuring the massive loaf.
Officials from Guinness World Records were on site to verify the achievement, officially crowning France once again as the home of the world’s longest baguette.
The record-breaking bake has been hailed as a tribute to French heritage, craftsmanship, and community spirit — all rising to the occasion, one loaf at a time.
