Father-Son Duo Makes History with Record-Breaking Global Helicopter Journey

A proud Canadian man is embarking on a mission to immortalize the incredible airborne adventures he shared with his father, as he recounts their record-breaking journey flying around the world.

Steven Dengler and his late father, W.R. “Bob” Dengler, carved their names into aviation history in 2017 when they became the first father and son duo to circumnavigate the world by aircraft.

Their remarkable odyssey saw them traverse 36,956 kilometers (22,963 miles) across the globe in Bob’s Bell 429 helicopter. The epic journey, which spanned 48 days, involved a staggering 92 stops in 14 different countries. Of the 48 days, they spent 30 days actively in the air, a testament to their endurance and the logistical planning involved.

Steven Dengler is now sharing the captivating details of this unique father-and-son adventure, not only as a tribute to his father’s spirit of exploration but also to ensure their groundbreaking achievement continues to inspire.
