Vallabhdas Jerambhai Dobaria, popularly known as “Shree Das – Sarsaio,” from Sarsai village, Vishavadar Taluka, Junagadh District, Gujarat, has made an extraordinary literary contribution to Gujarati poetry. Over a prolific career spanning 35 years—from October 23, 1972, to October 23, 2010—he has authored an astounding total of 12,345 poems in the Gujarati language.
In a remarkable feat, Shree Das has compiled these poems into a single handwritten volume containing 5,915 pages. This monumental book weighs an incredible 42 kilograms and is currently exhibited at “Shree,” 26 Shree Nagar, Datarwadi, Dhoraji, in Rajkot District, Gujarat.
His dedication and passion for poetry have earned him widespread respect across the Surashtra region, inspiring many with his rich and prolific body of work.
