In a powerful display of resilience and determination, Robert Seaward, 38, from Marlow, Buckinghamshire, is attempting to set a Guinness World Record by cycling further than anyone undergoing chemotherapy ever has before.
Diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour known as oligodendroglioma in January 2023, the father-of-three has refused to let the illness define him. Instead, he has taken on the extraordinary challenge to inspire others battling cancer and to remind them to “enjoy life.”
“I’ve chosen to live fully, not fearfully,” said Mr Seaward. “If I can encourage even one person to keep going and find joy despite their diagnosis, this effort will be worth it.”
While continuing chemotherapy, Robert is also using the challenge to raise funds for cancer support charities, turning his journey into a force for hope and change.
Guinness World Records is reviewing the details of his attempt, and supporters across the UK have rallied behind his cause, cheering him on with every mile.
Seaward’s inspiring ride is not just about setting a record—it’s a powerful testament to human courage, love for life, and the will to keep moving forward.
