Bristol Pilot Aims to Break World Record for Most Countries Flown in a Hot Air Balloon

Renowned hot air balloon pilot Allie Dunnington is on a mission to break the world record for the most countries flown in a hot air balloon, hoping to surpass the record of 127 countries set by her late husband.

Already the female world record holder with 115 countries under her belt, Dunnington says her goal is both personal and symbolic.

“It’s become my life mission,” she shared. “I didn’t start ballooning until later in life, but now I’m chasing my husband’s record and carrying forward our shared dream.”

Driven by passion and purpose, Allie is also an advocate for women in aviation, aiming to inspire more women to take to the skies in unconventional ways.

Her next flights are planned in Bangladesh and Brunei later this year — two more steps toward a record-breaking legacy in the skies.
