Bengaluru Opens India’s First Interactive Music Museum

In a first for the country, Bengaluru is home to India’s first interactive music museum, the Indian Music Experience (IME), offering an immersive celebration of the nation’s rich musical heritage. Located in JP Nagar, the museum opened to the public in 2019 and has since become a landmark destination for music lovers, students, and cultural tourists.

Spread over 50,000 square feet, IME is a state-of-the-art experiential museum that allows visitors to see, hear, touch, and explore music like never before. The museum is managed by the Indian Music Experience Trust, supported by the Brigade Group, and receives backing from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

IME also runs music therapy programs, community outreach, and preservation initiatives, ensuring that the museum connects with people across generations and abilities.
