Ballerinas Set New World Record for Largest ‘En Pointe’ Assembly in New York

A dazzling display of grace and precision unfolded at the Plaza Hotel in New York City, where a group of 353 ballerinas shattered the Guinness World Record for the largest assembly of dancers ‘en pointe’ within a minute.

The elegant ensemble surpassed the previous record of 306 dancers, set in 2019, as each ballerina successfully balanced on the tips of their toes — a classic ballet position known as ‘en pointe’ — all within the required time frame.

Organised as a celebration of ballet’s global influence, the event drew dancers of all ages and skill levels, united by their passion for the art form. Spectators applauded as officials from Guinness World Records confirmed the new record on-site.

“It was a magical moment of unity, strength, and poise,” said event coordinator Elena Marchetti. “This record belongs to every dancer who’s ever dreamed of standing tall — on their toes.”
