The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has etched its name into the record books by unveiling the world’s longest flower structure, measuring a breathtaking 221 meters (725.06 feet), during the 11th edition of the Ahmedabad Flower Show held at the scenic Sabarmati Riverfront.
This stunning floral creation was officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the longest flower structure ever built, marking a proud moment for the city and for India.
The floral structure, crafted with vibrant blooms and meticulous design, became the main attraction of the flower show, which is held annually to celebrate the beauty and diversity of flora. Thousands of visitors thronged the riverfront to witness the record-breaking installation that beautifully blended artistry with nature.
Municipal officials credited the achievement to months of planning and teamwork by local horticulturists, designers, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the vision a reality.
“This record is a testament to Ahmedabad’s growing reputation as a green and culturally vibrant city,” said a representative from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
The event not only showcased floral creativity on a global scale but also emphasized the city’s commitment to environmental sustainability, public engagement, and civic pride.
With this feat, Ahmedabad has not only added a feather to its cap but has also set a new global benchmark in floral exhibition excellence.
