In a historic celebration of devotion and Indian cultural tradition, Shri Upendrasinh Dipsinh Chavda, Founder of Astha Foundation and owner of Bhavani Builders, South Bhopal, Ahmedabad, organized the World’s Largest Tulsi Vivah (Tree Plant Marriage) Festival at Janakpuri, Dhandhuka, Gujarat.
The sacred event featured the divine wedding of Lord Shaligram (Thakorji) with Goddess Tulsi, with a grand wedding procession (baraat) that began from Dada Bapu Dham Pachchham. The procession was led by Mahant Shree Virbhushan Vijaysinh Bapu, who carried Lord Shaligram in a traditional palanquin, accompanied by thousands of devotees.
A remarkable highlight of the festival was the participation of 1,008 Akhand Saubhagyavati women (married women) who performed the sacred ritual of touching sugarcane stalks to Lord Thakorji’s idol, symbolizing blessings and divine prosperity for the couple. This powerful and culturally significant tradition added to the spiritual grandeur of the event.
The festival successfully set a New World Record for being the largest Tulsi Vivah celebration, reflecting deep community engagement and reverence for Sanatan Dharma traditions. The event was meticulously planned and executed under the leadership of Mr. Pravinsinh R. Gohil from Village Khasta, Dhandhuka, Gujarat, ensuring that every ritual and detail was upheld with authenticity and devotion.
This world-record-setting Tulsi Vivah stands as a proud symbol of India’s rich heritage and collective spiritual expression.
