“World Record Set for Maximum Girls Participating in Kanya Puja (Worship of Daughters)”

In a powerful and emotionally uplifting event promoting the national cause of “Save Girl Child, Educate Girl Child”, the Women’s Power Foundation and its dedicated team from Satara, Maharashtra, organized a historic world record event — the largest worship (puja) of daughters — on September 15, 2019.

Held at Abhaysinhraje Sanskrutik Bhavan, Ajinkyatara Colony, Shendre Fata, Satara, the event witnessed an inspiring participation of over 250 mothers performing traditional Kanya Puja (worship of girls) for more than 45 minutes, honoring over 250 young daughters in a culturally rich and spiritually charged ceremony.

The event was a symbolic and heartfelt tribute to the invaluable role of girls in society and was conducted in accordance with Indian rituals and traditions, reinforcing the message of gender equality, dignity, and the right to education for every girl child.
