In a remarkable display of community spirit and purpose-driven creativity, Wonder and Eat Up have officially broken a Guinness World Record for the longest line of sandwiches made in a single day.
The record-breaking event was brought to life with the support of creative agency MBCS and PR partner Good Talent Media, and saw 350 students from six Sydney schools come together at the iconic Overseas Passenger Terminal. Over the course of the day, the students prepared an astonishing 14,520 sandwiches, all of which were donated to families in need through Eat Up’s school lunch program.
This heartfelt stunt wasn’t just about setting a record — it was about raising awareness of food insecurity and the thousands of children across Australia who go to school without lunch each day.
“We wanted to do something big, something meaningful, and something that brings communities together — and this record has achieved exactly that,” said a spokesperson from Wonder. “Every sandwich made today is one step toward ensuring no child has to learn on an empty stomach.”
Eat Up, which provides free lunches to schoolchildren who would otherwise go without, hailed the event as a powerful demonstration of how creativity and community engagement can drive social impact.
With media attention, student involvement, and a powerful message, the stunt shows how brand purpose, when executed with heart and scale, can create real change — and a little history along the way.
