In a grand effort to inspire and educate the youth about science and technology, Vigyan Gurjari, the Gujarat unit of Vijnana Bharati, successfully organized the landmark event “Student Innovation Fest 2024 (SIF 2024)”. Under the visionary leadership of Prof. Chaitanya Joshi, President of Vigyan Gurjari, and Shri Jignesh Borisagar, Secretary, the event spanned 12 days and witnessed unprecedented participation.
With coordination led by Dr. Hitesh Patel and Dr. Gopal Raol, alongside district coordinators from across Gujarat, the fest featured 660 academicians, scientists, and industry experts from universities, research institutes, colleges, and schools who delivered insightful lectures.
The sessions focused on the invaluable contributions of Indian Science and Indian Scientists at the global level, as well as the latest advancements in technology and innovation. This initiative engaged and inspired over 70,000 students throughout the 12-day program.
The event, held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on August 12, 2023, set a new world record for the largest number of expert-led educational sessions conducted for students, marking a milestone in scientific outreach and education in India.
Prof. Joshi remarked, “SIF 2024 is a testament to Gujarat’s commitment to nurturing scientific temper and innovation among the younger generation. We are proud to facilitate this platform where students can directly learn from the best minds.”
The program was lauded for its impact in encouraging scientific curiosity and empowering students to pursue careers in STEM fields.
