Unique Wedding Celebration Turns into Lifesaving Event with “Rakt Tula” Blood Donation Drive

In a heartwarming and inspiring gesture of compassion and national unity, Mr. Harit Mehta and Mrs. Janki Mehta, children of Mr. Umesh Mehta, celebrated their wedding by organizing a unique blood donation drive titled “Rakt Tula” during their marriage ceremony.

Instead of traditional wedding gifts, over 200 guests participated in the blood donation camp, choosing to donate blood as a symbolic and lifesaving gift to the couple. The donated blood, collectively equivalent to the combined body weight of the bride and groom, was handed over to the Rajkot Voluntary Blood Bank to aid needy patients in urgent medical need.

This noble and selfless initiative not only highlighted the importance of blood donation but also emphasized a message of unity, integrity, and social responsibility—transforming a personal celebration into a meaningful act of public service. The event set a New Record for the “Most Blood Donated During a Marriage Ceremony” and remains a shining example of humanity and love in action.
