In a powerful celebration of women’s empowerment and healthy living, the All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG), Belagavi, in collaboration with the Karnataka Safai Karmachari Parishat (KSKP), Bengaluru, and the Real Sports Association Bagalkote, organized an extraordinary event – “The Great Bagalkote Monsoon Saree Run”. The unique marathon, held on June 16, 2024, witnessed an awe-inspiring participation of 1,200 women who ran 2 miles in the rain, all dressed in traditional Indian sarees, setting a New World Record.
This groundbreaking event was held under the inspiring leadership of:
