Shri Subhashchandra Babulal Mehta, born on August 5, 1944, and a retired professor of Physics from Sir P. P. Institute of Science, Bhavnagar University, has been officially declared as “The Aged Active Astronomer of India.”
Recognized for his more than 30 years of dedicated service in education and his selfless efforts to spread awareness about physics and astronomy, Shri Mehta’s contributions have had a profound impact on both students and society.
His lifelong commitment to science education and community outreach continues to inspire many across India.
