In a stunning showcase of rhythmic mastery, Sharad R. Dange, a renowned tabla artist and musician from Aurangabad, Maharashtra, set a remarkable record by performing 24 distinct instrumental rhythmic sounds in just 4 minutes and 47 seconds on a single tabla.
The performance, held at Saint Tukaram Sabagruh, CIDCO, Aurangabad, featured a fusion of 19 Indian traditional percussion styles and 5 Western rhythms. His repertoire included sounds inspired by Pakhawaj, Dholak, Khanjira, Daff, Sambal, Nagara, Dhak, Chenda, and Dhol from across various Indian states like Maharashtra, Assam, Kerala, Punjab, Gujarat, and West Bengal—alongside Western instruments like the Kongo, Bongo, Jumbe, and Snare drum.
