Celebrated Bhuj-based artist Navin Soni has set a remarkable new record by creating 36 exquisite artworks inspired by Hanumantmat, a theme deeply rooted in Indian Classical Music, often referred to as Art Music.
Each painting, measuring 24 inches by 30 inches, was meticulously crafted using oil paints on canvas, focusing on the intricate themes of Ragas and Raginis—the melodic frameworks that form the foundation of Indian classical music.
This unprecedented artistic achievement was completed at Mundra, Kutch, Gujarat, and was officially recognized on 9th April 2023. The record was adjudicated and validated by respected local authorities, Milan Soni (President – Kutch) and Devyani Soni (Senior Adjudicator – Kutch).
Navin Soni’s work not only pays homage to the rich musical heritage of India but also bridges the worlds of visual art and classical music, bringing to life the nuances of ragas through vibrant and expressive paintings.
