In a landmark achievement for Assam’s academic and literary community, Cotton University has set a new record for involving the maximum number of educational institutions in the publication of a magazine.

Titled ‘Dakuwal’, this quarterly magazine marks a historic first for Assam, bringing together contributions from 151 schools, colleges, and universities spanning the entire Barak-Brahmaputra valley. Representing voices from all 26 districts of Assam, ‘Dakuwal’ serves as a vibrant platform for students and educators to share ideas, culture, and creativity across institutional boundaries.

The record was officially confirmed on January 21, 2022, solidifying Cotton University’s role as a pioneer in collaborative educational initiatives.

“Dakuwal is more than a magazine; it’s a movement that connects Assam’s educational landscape through shared knowledge and expression,” said a spokesperson from Cotton University.

This groundbreaking publication stands as a shining example of unity in diversity, promoting intellectual exchange and cultural pride among Assam’s young minds.
