Marking an extraordinary celebration of World Health Day 2024, the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM) successfully organized a National-Level World Health Day Quiz on April 2, 2024. The event witnessed an unprecedented participation of 26,737 MBBS students from 393 medical institutes spanning all States and Union Territories across India.
This massive educational initiative was conducted to promote awareness of public health and encourage medical students to engage deeply with issues in preventive and social medicine. The quiz was seamlessly coordinated at a national level by Dr. Krupal Joshi (AIIMS, Rajkot), Dr. Medha Mathur (GMC, Udaipur), and Dr. Animesh Jain (KMC, Mangalore).
The program was organized under the esteemed leadership and guidance of Dr. Annarao G. Kulkarni (National President), Dr. A.M. Kadri (Immediate Past President), and Dr. Purushottam Giri (Secretary-General) of IAPSM.
This historic academic event not only reinforced the significance of World Health Day but also set a benchmark in nationwide collaborative participation by the next generation of healthcare professionals.
