Kamlesh Mukundray Oza, born on August 8, 1961, a renowned singer from Jamnagar, Gujarat, has set a remarkable new world record by performing over 2,000 different Bollywood songs of the legendary playback singer Shri Mohammed Rafi Sahab in just 101 days.
Starting from April 5, 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, Kamlesh responded to public demand by hosting a daily two-hour solo singing program titled “Aapki Farmaayish Mere Geet”on Facebook Live. In this unique initiative, he sang more than 2,000 songs out of the 786 recorded songs by Mohammed Rafi Sahab, captivating audiences with his dedication and musical prowess.
The program, conducted live from the Mohammed Rafi Saheb Temple in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, continues to inspire music lovers during challenging times and celebrates the timeless legacy of one of India’s greatest playback singers.
Kamlesh’s passion and perseverance have earned him a distinguished place in the world record books, adding a musical milestone to India’s rich cultural heritage.
