In a monumental public health initiative, the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA) has set a new record by providing Basic Life Support (BLS) training to 44,364 individuals across 60 cities in India, including Indore, Lucknow, and Delhi, on a single day. The training sessions were held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM during the Bone & Joint Week, from August 1 to August 6, 2023, commemorating Bone & Joint Day.
The event, conducted under the theme ‘Each ONE Train ONE Save One’, aimed to equip the public with essential life-saving skills and raise awareness about bone and joint health. The IOA collaborated with various local chapters and healthcare professionals to ensure widespread participation and effective training.
This achievement underscores the IOA’s commitment to enhancing public health education and preparedness across the nation.
