In an extraordinary display of environmental consciousness and unity, APNA PUNJAB FOUNDATION in collaboration with the Federation of Private Schools and Associations of Punjab orchestrated a grand campaign titled “MISSION HARIALI”, setting a Majestic World Record by forming the largest human tree mosaic.
More than 11,000 school students participated in the spectacular event held in Dhuri, District Sangrur, Punjab, where they donned green and brown turbans/keskis symbolizing the foliage and trunk of a tree. The students held placards in harmony, together forming a gigantic human tree image covering a sprawling area of 64,260 square feet (306’ x 210’).
The campaign aimed at sensitizing future citizens of India towards environmental conservation and instilling a deep-rooted awareness of the need to protect and enrich nature.
Led by visionary educationist Dr. Jagjit Singh, the event showcased not only creative brilliance but also the power of collective action for a greener planet. “MISSION HARIALI” now stands as a world record achievement and a proud moment for Punjab, spotlighting the state’s commitment to environmental stewardship and innovative education.
