In an extraordinary showcase of cultural heritage and early childhood education, Murlidhar Lohia Matru Mandir (Pre-Primary School), affiliated with the Deccan Education Society, successfully organized the Longest Poetic Spiritual Drama titled “Geet Ramayana”, performed entirely by 600 children under the age of 5.5 years.
The event, held on the school campus at Tilak Road, Pune, featured a live enactment of the Ramayana through poetry, music, and drama. The young students dressed in vibrant costumes portrayed various characters from the ancient epic in a captivating 2 hour and 30-minute non-stop performance.
The initiative aimed to instill the values and teachings of Indian culture and epics from an early age. Despite their tender age, the children demonstrated remarkable confidence, discipline, and coordination, leaving the audience and guests deeply moved.
The remarkable event was adjudicated by Mr. Dinesh Paithankar, Special Adjudicator of Maharashtra, and was recognized as a New World Record for the Longest Poetic Spiritual Drama Performed by Pre-Primary Students.
This record-breaking performance highlights the commitment of Murlidhar Lohia Matru Mandir to value-based education and its role in preserving India’s rich cultural traditions.
