Parent Awareness Program for Specially Able Children Sets New Record in Surat

In a landmark initiative to raise awareness among parents of specially able children, the Mavjat Parents Association, Surat, in collaboration with the National Trust, Delhi, organized a comprehensive Parent Awareness Program. Held on June 11, 2017, at the SMC Community Hall, Adajan Patia, Surat, the event witnessed the participation of 632 parents who underwent a 4-hour training session.

The program was led by Hon. Shree Pankaj Maru, National Coordinator of the Niramaya Scheme, National Trust; Hon. Shree Abhijit Raut, Project Director, DDRC Nagpur; and Hon. Shree Jignesh Raval, Special Educator from Gandhinagar. Together, they provided valuable guidance and support to parents, empowering them to better care for and support their specially able children.

This large-scale gathering and training session set a new record for parent engagement and awareness in the field of special education in Gujarat, marking a significant step forward in community support for differently-abled children.
