In a powerful story of resilience and determination, Vikram Agnihotri has been awarded the World Book of Records for becoming the first person without hands to receive a driving license. Not only has he driven over 14,500 kilometers in just 15 months, but he has also gone a step further—literally—to become the first man to drive with his legs across the world’s highest motorable road, Khardung La.
Born and raised in Indore, Vikram met with a tragic accident at the age of seven that resulted in the loss of both his arms. However, rather than allowing his disability to define him, he chose to redefine possibility itself. Using only his legs, Vikram taught himself to write, shave, swim, play football, and even operate a laptop.
His latest achievement—navigating the treacherous terrain of Khardung La using his feet to drive—has inspired millions across India and beyond. Vikram is also a serial entrepreneur, proving that limitations exist only in the mind.
