In a monumental effort to promote and support the Accessible India Campaign (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan) initiated by the Government of India, the District Administration of Navsari, Gujarat, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, and with the active support of Shri C.R. Patil, Member of Parliament, Navsari, organized a historic Divyang Aid and Appliances Distribution Camp.
In a single day, the event witnessed the distribution of over 17,000 assistive kits to more than 11,000 Divyang (disabled) persons, marking an unprecedented achievement in the realm of public welfare and accessibility inclusion. The record-breaking initiative was held across Navsari District, Gujarat, and has now entered the records for the largest single-day aid distribution for differently-abled individuals.
This massive outreach served as a shining example of government-public collaboration, compassion, and commitment towards empowering persons with disabilities, reaffirming India’s resolve towards building an inclusive and accessible society.
