On the occasion of its Diamond Jubilee Year Celebration, Nashik Sikshan Prasarak Mandal, Nashik, Maharashtra, organized a massive yoga event to support International Yoga Day. More than 17,000 participants from 23 schools across Nashik district came together to perform a staggering total of 1,45,95,786 Suryanamaskars (Sun Salutations) at various locations throughout the district.
This incredible feat was achieved over an extended period from February 3, 2017, to January 24, 2018, setting a new world record for the highest number of Suryanamaskars performed collectively.
The event not only celebrated the power of yoga but also highlighted community participation and dedication toward health and wellness in Nashik.
