Massive Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Awareness Campaign Sets New Record in Mehsana

During the grand celebration of Krishi Mahotsav 2017, Alok Pandy, District Collector of Mehsana, Gujarat, successfully organized a large-scale awareness campaign focused on the critical social cause “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” (Save Girl Child, Educate Girl Child). The event took place at Police Pared Ground in Mehsana and saw the participation of over 15,000 students, villagers, and community members.

The participants took a collective oath in Gujarati, pledging their commitment to protect and empower the girl child. This massive gathering and unified pledge set a new world record, marking a significant milestone in promoting gender equality and female empowerment in the region.

The campaign highlighted the importance of educating girls and safeguarding their rights, aligning with the Government of India’s national mission. District Collector Alok Pandy emphasized the role of the community in changing mindsets and ensuring a better future for girls across Gujarat and the country.
