The National Health Mission (NHM), Jaipur, Rajasthan, successfully organized the largest-ever youth mobilization campaign titled “Daughters Are Precious” across 773 centers in 33 districts of Rajasthan. This massive initiative aimed to raise awareness and support the cause of saving the girl child, tackling the critical issue of sex determination and female foeticide.
Under the leadership of Mr. Naveen Jain, IAS, Mission Director of the National Health Mission, Rajasthan, the campaign mobilized 769 dedicated volunteers who engaged directly in dialogue with an astounding 1,51,272 students. The volunteers educated and motivated young minds about the importance of gender equality and the value of daughters in society.
This landmark event set a new World Record on 17th November 2017, marking a significant achievement in the ongoing fight against gender discrimination and the promotion of the girl child’s rights in India.
