In a historic initiative aimed at promoting road safety and responsible driving, Mr. Hari Narayan Chari Mishra, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Indore (M.P.), has been honored with a world record under the title “Largest Oath Taking Programme”.
The remarkable feat was achieved during a Traffic Awareness Programme held at the Superintendent of Police Office in Gwalior, where an astounding 1,00,000 people came together to take a solemn oath to follow traffic rules. This mass movement not only highlighted the power of community action but also set a benchmark for public commitment towards safer roads.
The event, aimed at cultivating better traffic discipline, brought together citizens from all walks of life—students, professionals, law enforcement personnel, and public officials. Under the leadership of DIG Hari Narayan Chari Mishra, the campaign served as a clarion call for behavioral change and civic responsibility on Indian roads.
This achievement has now been officially recognized as a record, reaffirming Madhya Pradesh’s dedication to improving public safety and raising awareness about the life-saving importance of traffic rules.
