Kanai Mahanta Sets Record with Indian Flag Bike Ride on Independence Day

On the occasion of Independence Day 2016, Kanai Mahanta from Siliguri, West Bengal, organized a remarkable bike ride to celebrate national pride and unity. Riding his Royal Enfield Electra 350cc, Kanai held the Indian flag in his hand while covering a distance of 124 kilometers in 7 hours.

Starting from Champasari, Siliguri at 11:00 am, he traversed through key cities including Sevoke, Malbazar, Banarhat, and Chamurchi, finally reaching Samste near the Bhutan border by 6:00 pm on August 15, 2016.

The journey was made even more extraordinary as Kanai carried 18 people standing on the single bike throughout the ride, setting a new record for this unique feat. The event was a symbolic tribute to India’s freedom and a demonstration of unity and strength on the day of independence.
