In a landmark initiative to promote the message of non-violence and global peace, the Jain International Trade Organization (JITO), Mumbai, in association with all JITO Chapters, successfully organized the “IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run 2023”, creating a New World Record.
The historic run witnessed the participation of 150,000+ runners of all age groups across 70 cities in India and 26 international locations. Participants ran in 3 KM, 5 KM, and 10 KM categories, echoing the timeless message of Ahimsa (non-violence) as taught by Mahavir Swami and revered by peace-loving communities worldwide.
The initiative was lauded globally for combining fitness with a purpose — advocating compassion, harmony, and peaceful coexistence. It marked a significant moment in both the marathon and humanitarian worlds by bringing people together for a cause beyond borders.
This unprecedented unity and turnout have officially set a New World Record, reinforcing JITO’s commitment to social service and spiritual values.
