In a remarkable initiative combining creativity, sustainability, and community service, the Inner Wheel Club of Berhampur, District 326, Odisha, India, celebrated the International Year of Millets 2023 by setting a New World Record.
Under the dynamic leadership of District Chairman Mrs. Chiranjeevi Tayi, the club created the largest International Inner Wheel logo measuring 15 feet x 15 feet, crafted entirely using 2,100 kilograms of seven different varieties of millet grains. The event took place at the Green Courtyard Conference Hall, Berhampur, and was completed within a single day.
The logo design was spearheaded by Mrs. Chiranjeevi Tayi, alongside a creative team including Gouri Patro, Saka Sirisha, J. Sudha Rani, P. Divya Rupa, and 20 dedicated club members, who meticulously arranged the grains to form the iconic emblem of one of the world’s largest women’s voluntary organizations.
The initiative not only celebrated the global push for millet awareness and its nutritional and environmental benefits but also highlighted the club’s commitment to social responsibility. After the event, all the millet grains used in the artwork were donated to underprivileged communities, ensuring the project had a lasting impact.
This inspiring endeavor stands as a shining example of how art, service, and sustainability can come together to honor international initiatives and uplift local communities.
