Dr. Kriti Bharti, a renowned social activist and rehabilitation psychologist from Jodhpur, has made history by becoming the first person to complete a Psychological Doctoral Research (Ph.D.) focused on “Children in Need of Care and Protection” under the Juvenile Justice Act.
Her extensive research, titled “A Study of Psychosocial Security, Anxiety, Frustration and Adjustment of Children in Need of Care and Protection,” delves deeply into the psychological well-being of vulnerable children, covering all categories defined under the Juvenile Justice Act. The comprehensive thesis spans over 500 pages, reflecting a thorough investigation into the psychosocial challenges faced by these children.
Dr. Kriti Bharti was awarded this pioneering Ph.D. on 9th January 2017 by the Department of Psychology at Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Her work stands as a significant contribution toward understanding and improving the care, protection, and rehabilitation of at-risk children in India.
