First-Ever 40 Braille Games Created for Blind in India by Shubhangi Apte

Shubhangi Apte, a dedicated social worker born on April 25, 1955, has made a remarkable contribution to the visually impaired community by developing 40 different braille games—the first such initiative in India.

Her innovative work has brought joy and education to blind people across the country. Alongside the games, Shubhangi Apte has distributed 851 braille books free of cost to visually impaired individuals nationwide up to the year 2017.

This groundbreaking effort was officially recognized as a new record on July 1, 2017, marking an important milestone in empowering the blind community through education and recreation.
