Fastest Spiritual Expedition: Ashtvinayak Yatra Record Set

On the occasion of Ganesh Utsav Festival and World Tourism Day 2014, Mr. Sharad Amritrao Kalepatil from Sonai, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, successfully completed the “Ashtvinayak Yatra” — a spiritual motorcycle expedition honoring Lord Ganesha and promoting tourism across the region.

Riding his 100 cc Hero Deluxe motorbike, Sharad covered a distance of 539 km, starting from Siddhatek Temple, Ahmednagar, at 6:00 AM on September 11, 2014. He concluded the journey at Ranjangaon Temple, Pune, after 12 hours and 12 minutes of dedicated travel.

This expedition not only paid homage to Lord Ganesha but also highlighted the cultural richness of Maharashtra’s famous Ashtvinayak pilgrimage circuit, encouraging spiritual tourism and awareness among devotees and travelers alike.
