A long-time Dubai resident, Ramesh Babu, has etched his name in the Guinness World Records for achieving the “longest career in print advertising (male),” spanning an extraordinary 47 years and 77 days.
Babu, who moved to the UAE in 1974, began his career in print advertising on 12 June 1977. His record was officially certified on 28 August 2024, recognizing his remarkable contribution to the industry over nearly five decades.
“It’s an incredible honour to be recognised for my dedication and passion in print advertising,” Babu said. “The industry has evolved tremendously, from manual paste-ups and printing presses to digital transformations, but my love for print has never wavered.”
