Sri Sri Aryamaharshi and his wife Simi from Aryalok Ashram, Agathiyoor, Thrissur, made a remarkable humanitarian gesture by donating their kidneys during a transplantation surgery held at Medical Trust Hospital, Ernakulum, Kerala. The surgeries were successfully conducted on May 20, 2014, by Dr. Mammen M John, a leading nephrologist, and Dr. Ravikumar, a skilled urologist.
Sri Sri Aryamaharshi’s kidney was transplanted to Noble Jose from Thuravoor, Angamaly, while Simi’s kidney was given to Jeeva C Chrisus from Poonthura, Thiruvananthapuram. Both recipients belonged to very poor families, and this life-saving act has brought new hope and health to them.
The selfless donation by the couple highlights the spirit of compassion and generosity, inspiring others to consider organ donation and support those in critical need.
