Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Sets World Record with Massive Environmental Oath Event in Gujarat

In celebration of its 70th Glorious Year, Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), Gujarat State, organized a three-day world record event with the theme “Paryavaran Sankalp,” marking a monumental effort to promote environmental awareness across the state. Under the visionary leadership of Shri Jigneshbhai D. Majmundar (President) and Shri Girishkumar L. Patel (General Secretary), the event mobilized an unprecedented number of participants.

A total of 502,323 people—including 466,611 students and 27,554 local citizens—gathered simultaneously at 3,294 schools across Gujarat on August 30, 2024, to take a solemn oath to protect and preserve the environment. This extraordinary display of unity and commitment set a new world record for the largest environmental pledge event.

The initiative was supported and managed by Shri Rajendra Sinh Chudasama, Vice-President of BMS, along with the dedication of 8,158 state officials and social workers, highlighting the power of collective action in addressing environmental challenges.

This record-breaking event not only underscored BMS’s commitment to social responsibility but also exemplified the potential of mass mobilization in creating environmental consciousness at the grassroots level.
