1,701 People Unite Virtually to Pledge Environmental Protection on India’s 75th Independence Day

To commemorate India’s 75th Independence Day and raise awareness about environmental conservation, Mata Leelawanti Saraswati Vidya Mandir in collaboration with Kalaakar Foundation, Delhi, organized a unique world record event. A total of 1,701 participants virtually took a solemn oath to protect and preserve the environment by planting trees, nurturing plants, or tending to gardens from their homes.

The event seamlessly blended patriotism with environmental consciousness as participants celebrated Independence Day through various engaging activities, including dancing, yoga, singing, painting, poetry recitations, and sharing practical tips to save the environment. Participants also showcased their patriotism by creatively wearing Indian flags as hairbands, wristbands, or face paint, while others demonstrated cooking with eco-friendly practices and applying makeup symbolizing the national colors.

This inspiring initiative set a new world record, demonstrating the power of collective action in safeguarding the planet while honoring the spirit of India’s independence. The event was held in Delhi and brought together citizens united by the dual goals of national pride and environmental stewardship.
