On the auspicious occasion of Chaturmas of Acharya Munishri Dr. Shivmuniji Maharajsa, a remarkable world record event was organized in Pune, Maharashtra. Spearheaded by Dr. Vardhaman Kankariya of Asian Eye Hospital, along with Mrs. Vimala Bafana from the Jain Mahila Conference and Mr. Vijaykantji Bhandari of Jain Sakal Sangh, the event witnessed 10,000 participants coming together to take a pledge for eye donation.
This massive gathering took place on 25th August 2019 at Vardhaman Sanskritik Bhavan, Bibewadi, Pune, setting a new world record for the highest number of people pledging for eye donation simultaneously. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of eye donation and encourage more people to contribute towards restoring sight.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic support and hoped that this inspiring initiative would help in reducing blindness and improving lives across the country.
