Meet Tanya Blake, a 34-year-old Minion mega-fan from Brisbane who has officially entered the Guinness World Records for assembling the world’s largest Minions memorabilia collection — with over 1,000 unique items dedicated to the beloved yellow characters from the Despicable Me universe.
From plush toys to mugs, posters, pajamas, toothbrushes, and even a Minion-themed microwave, Tanya’s home is a bright yellow homage to the gibberish-speaking sidekicks that stole the hearts of moviegoers worldwide.
“It started with a keychain I got at the movies,” Tanya laughs. “Now, I practically live in a Minion museum. And I wouldn’t have it any other way!”
Her “Minion mansion,” as she calls it, has an entire room painted banana-yellow, where shelves overflow with Kevin, Stuart, Bob, and other characters in every possible form. There’s even a life-sized Minion statue in her front yard — with a matching mailbox.
Guinness World Records certified the collection this week after a meticulous cataloging process. Officials confirmed she had 1,024 distinct Minion items, each documented and verified.
Tanya’s obsession isn’t just for fun — she’s used it to spread joy. She frequently hosts themed movie nights for local kids, donates Minion toys to hospitals, and even dresses as a Minion mascot at charity events.
Social media erupted with support, with fans calling her the “Queen of Minions” and “the ultimate Despicable Devotee.” The hashtag #OneInAMinion quickly trended, as people around the world shared their love for her record-breaking passion.
As for what’s next? “I’m aiming for 2,000. There’s always room for more Minions — and more bananas,” Tanya grinned.
