In a historic achievement that blends safety awareness with world-class ambition, Diriyah Company has officially entered the Guinness World Records by organizing the largest-ever construction safety lesson, setting a new global benchmark for industry education and commitment to worker welfare.
Held at the Diriyah project site, the lesson gathered an astounding 4,300 workers, engineers, and supervisors, all participating in a synchronized safety training session. The event, overseen by Guinness World Records officials and health and safety experts, aimed to reinforce best practices in construction site safety, including fall protection, equipment handling, emergency response, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
“This milestone reflects our unwavering dedication to safety,” said Jerry Inzerillo, Group CEO of Diriyah Company. “We are building more than just infrastructure — we are building a culture of responsibility and care.”
The safety session lasted over an hour and included live demonstrations, interactive segments, and multilingual instruction to ensure full comprehension among the diverse workforce. The initiative was part of Diriyah Co.’s broader ‘Safety First’ campaign, which prioritizes worker well-being across all phases of the historic giga-project aimed at transforming Diriyah into a global cultural and tourism hub.
Officials from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development attended the event, praising the initiative as a model for other large-scale developments. “This record is more than a number,” said one official. “It’s a statement that every worker’s life and safety matter deeply.”
Guinness World Records adjudicators were on site to certify the achievement, officially recognizing Diriyah Co. for setting a new world record. The certificate was presented to company leadership during a celebratory ceremony that followed the lesson.
