The Iswari Minar Swarga Sal, also known as the Isar Lat, is a prominent historical monument in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Constructed in 1749 by Maharaja Ishwari Singh, this 30.5-meter (100-foot) high minaret was part of the Isar Lat, a twin-towered structure designed to serve as a landmark for travelers. The minaret’s dome, weighing approximately 10 tonnes and with a diameter of 3 meters (9 feet 10 inches), is powered by a 1.5 HP motor, enabling it to complete a full rotation every minute. This unique feature makes it the first revolving minaret in India.
The Iswari Minar Swarga Sal is situated near the Sargasuli Tower, another historical structure in Jaipur. The area around the minaret offers a panoramic view of the city, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists.
